Nov 29, 30 - Assignment given
Daily assignment - Send me an email (below) to let me know what you did for the day, if you have any questions or suggestions. I can 'see' your page so don't worry about printing
December - Progress check (day before we move back to the library). Print out your web page so far
February - 2nd progress check (2 weeks after library is operational)
March - Web page due by end of quarter
Please note: the deadlines may change as more information regarding the renovation is provided to us.
Your grade will be based on the following rubric (webpage rubric) and on meeting the deadlines. The goal is to create a website that we will include on our library website as a link under LHS Library Information Sources.
*Use Grab, Screen Shot (PC) or Apple/Shift/4 to capture images.
Using screen shots in your explanation on using the databases will help the user navigate more easily.
*Google images have lots of pictures/graphics
*Want to embed a power point presentation? Use Slide share
*Use paintbrush program to help you highlight certain features in your screen shots. It is loaded onto the 4 computers you are using the lab (203). Once we return to the library, ask for it to be installed on the circulation computers. For MACs only.
Helpful Weebly Hints
*Bookmark http://students.weebly.com for quicker access.
*Save your documents, etc. as a pdf file and then link. More people can access the document in this format.
*You can only create 5 pages (either main one or sub page).
*When you save, you do NOT need to publish. When you are done for the day, click your cursor somewhere out of the box and you see a quick box flash that says 'loading'. If you want to 'see' what your page looks like on internet, then publish. The name you select is the 'official' name. See Mrs. Maruyama if you have any questions.
*When making a two column layout, you still need to drag the title/text box to type text.
*When you return to your page, click on 'edit' page to see your original page, Don't create a 'new page' or site.
*Found a webpage to help with the 'fancier' things in weebly.
